MSPDI Turk, LLC is a subsidiary of Michael Simmons Property Development, Inc. (MSPDI) Founded in 1997, MSPDI is a Certified San Francisco Small Business. Michael Simmons has 17 years of development experience and has worked in the Western Addition neighborhood for over eight years. He completed three projects in the neighborhood including Bell Mews townhouses for first-time homebuyers at Divisadero and Ellis, the renovation of Laurel Gardens and the development of the Brandy Moore House for people with HIV/AIDS. The former executive director of the San Francisco Housing Development Corp., Michael has built housing for first time homebuyers, low-income renters, homeless individuals and families and people with special needs.

The San Francisco Redevelopment Agency, incorporated August 10, 1948, was established for the purpose of improving the environment of the City and creating better urban living conditions through the removal of blight.

Authorized and organized under the provisions of the California Community Redevelopment Law, the Agency is an entity legally separate from the City and County of San Francisco, but existing solely to perform certain functions exclusively for and by authorization of the City and County of San Francisco. The Agency operates primarily in redevelopment project areas designated by the Board of Supervisors. The Agency also provides local funding for the development of affordable housing throughout the City.

David Baker + Partners was formed in 1982 and is based in San Francisco. David Baker + Partners has designed over 6000 units of housing in every typology including three homeownership projects in San Francisco: Bell Mews, Parkview Commons and Candlestick View.

Borrower’s Best is a mortgage brokerage and consulting firm and has been serving the community since 2002. Borrower’s Best, Inc. helps individuals finance their homes. They conduct workshops for first-time homebuyers and speak to work and community groups. With a roster of three loan consultants, Borrower’s Best is able to assist individuals at various levels of preparedness. Many of its first-time homebuyers work with them for 6-24 months to improve their credit, increase their savings, and/or decrease their debt. Borrower’s Best’s goal is to not only help individuals get into homes, but also to ensure they have a strong footing and will be able to keep their homes.

Founded in 1915, Cahill Contractors is a full-service construction company based in San Francisco. In addition to building many landmarks in San Francisco including the renovation of Union Square, Cahill hill maintains an active practice of building affordable housing in the City. It is currently completing a senior housing project in the Western Addition at Turk and Gough Streets.

Founded in 1985, Wahl & Company is a full service property management firm in San Francisco. It focuses on managing smaller homeowner associations. The majority of its associations are first-time homebuyers and moderate-income households.

SF Urban CHC was founded nearly five years ago as an outgrowth of a more than 50-year old family owned real estate company. SF Urban CHC provides financial literacy and education through a series of workshops and individual counseling. At the completion of the workshops and counseling participants receive a certificate of homebuyer education which is required for any first time homebuyer purchasing a below market rate unit in San Francisco.
